The Michael Caines Restaurant offers Michael's award winning modern British cuisine in a stylish setting with fantastic views over Chester and the surrounding Welsh hills. The Restaurant has seating for 76 with a further 26 covers available on the outside terrace. In addition to the à la carte and tasting menus, the Restaurant features "grazing menus", whereby smaller portions of dishes from the à la carte menu can be enjoyed in either the Restaurant or more informally in the Champagne Bar. The MC Café Bar & Grill, located on the ground floor, offers informal and delicious food and drink throughout the day and evening, from coffee and homebaked pastries, to full à la carte dining. In the evenings, the ABarMC is a late night lounge bar that is certain to become one of Chester's favoured venues.
Historic Chester
Chester is an historic city located on the site of a Roman fort founded in 79AD and later fortified by the Saxons. The walled city retains a number of important medieval buildings as well as heritage from the Industrial Revolution which led to the city's substantial development, expansion and prosperity. With its distinctive black-and-white architecture and features such as its two-level medieval Rows (considered amongst the oldest shop fronts in the country), Chester remains one of the most welcoming and atmospheric small cities in England.
